Icon prefix for links (1 Viewer)

I am convinced that at one time (quite recently, in fact), each link was prefixed with a tiny icon. These seem to have vanished, or the icon is blank. This results in an apparent gap in the text where the icon should be, such as this link to another thread.

Is my memory failing me, or did something change recently?
