me too. but i think have the DVD display in shareview or titleview, it's an big improvement. for user like to have optical support like me, and many friends "with an big collection"

Seems nobody would like to implement this.
Personally I really miss this feature in MP.[DOUBLEPOST=1393257654][/DOUBLEPOST]IMHO this is one of the big drawbacks of MP compared to XMBC.
Just my 2 cents.

yes, but few feature are missing also in Xbmc
but, yes for me, this feature is missing for people with DVD collection (or Bluray).
As I had to reinstall my HTPC lately and all DVDs & Blu-rays in database were gone: is there anyone able and willing to implement this?

I think you can backup the myvideo database. Or backup all the mediaportal programdata.
Reinstall all software. And overwritte the new MP install with the backup.

To take a backup is not the point. If you don't do this regularly and your HDD (containing the MP database) goes up in smoke, you will loose at least some entries. Having the support for media stubbs would make it easier to fill the db again. Same goes for new users or if you buy more discs than you can watch at a time (and thus get them imported) but want to add them to your collection visible in MP.
