Media Portal 1.15 Low Volume (1 Viewer)

I am having similar trouble others have reported with the sound level being too low. When I play the same movie with Cyberlink PowerDVD15 I get plenty of volume. However, if I play the same movie using MP1.15 the volume is about 3/4 the level forcing me to crank up the Windows 10 sound level to where I get some undesired background 60 hz noise. So far I have not found a fix in your support forums.

What's your MediaPortal volume level set to?

If the movies you're playing have surround sound (5.1 or more channels) but you only have a stereo (2 speaker) system then volume will seem low unless you enable down-mixing. For example, to enable for the LAV codecs:
