I have just built a PVR(2000+XP,NF2 board,512mb,FX5200,PVR-150MCE,200gb,ect) and have tried GBPVR which wanted me to tune in each channel which I thought was lame as it would have took hours. Not to mention it looked bad at least to me it did. Then I tried MP and had hardly any problems with it other than the picture quality looked bad. Getting Nvidia Purevideo Decoder seemed to help alot though.
But I got some questions:
Is there any other Free PVR software you all suggest trying(will probably end up with MP in the end as I like it alot)
Is there a plugin or a way you can modify MP to show HDD space thats left(in hours if possible)
Is there a way to rip commercials out of shows to save on HDD space
Is there any plugin's you all recommend thats very useful
Is there any other tweaks to improve picture quality with basic cable TV
