Recently built a new computer and did a Windows 10 load on it. Got MP1.15 (server/client) set up fairly easily since I've done it before on Win 7 boxes. TV cards are set up, epg is grabbing schedules...I'm able to schedule and watch recordings and live tv on client boxes, but I can't watch any video on the server box. I can view the channel in Preview in the tv Server configuration under TV Channels. The general error I'm getting in the front end of the client is "Unable to play: live5-0.ts (for Live TV).

Attached are the latest logs and this is what I'm seeing:
[ERROR] - VMR9: Renderer not installed / cannot be used!
[ERROR] - TSReaderPlayer: Failed vmr9 not connected
[ERROR] - TSReaderPlayer:GetInterfaces() failed

I feel like I'm missing something obvious...any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!

    It's better if you use the MP Watchdog tool to collect the logs into a zip file - that way we get *all* of the logs, DXdiag report etc.

    Did you let the MP installer install all the support components, particularly DirectX ?

    Basically the 'evr.log' suggests that evr.dll (part of the OS) is missing/can't be loaded by MP.

    Certain versions of Win 10 don't have it as part of the standard installation - see https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/F...windows-10?forum=windowsdirectshowdevelopment

    So yes. I'm using Windows 10 Pro N. Can't find evr.dll anywhere on the computer...while researching to find how to get it on there, I ran across this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231

    Media packs for N computers. Didn't initially fix it, and still not showing evr.dll anywhere on the computer, but after loading these, I went in and switched my MP configuration from EVR back to VMR9...I have live TV and video finally.

    Thanks!

    You should be using EVR on Win 10 - using VMR9 is not supported by MP on later editions of Windows (it basically works, but you may find some things don't work properly).
