[News] Opening MediaPortal Blog for the community (1 Viewer)

One of my main goals is to continuously enhance the communication between the team and the community, but also inside the community.
To do so, I would like to invite plugin developers and skin designers among our community to write about their work in the Blog section of the homepage.

This will allow you to gain more publicity for your product, and enable users to find out what is going on in our community without browsing though the entire forums.

Permission to write blog entries is granted on a per user basis. If you want to get you work better known in our great community, then please use the contact form to send a mail to the "management".

Please include the name of the plugin or skin you are working on. I will then do the required changes to your account and provide you with a step-by-step guide for writing blogs.

Unfortunately I got very few (5 to be precise) requests for blogging access so far. And no submisson yet either.

Maybe the community needs to give the Extension Devs and Designers a gentle push.

Have you ever considered the option to allow community users to upload videos or pictures describing their MediaPortal's setups in the blog? There are nice setups that can be shown, for example:

(I can't remember more for now, but I'm sure that they are)

I'm going to update my server (14 Tb) in 2-3 weeks and I was considering to take photos of the process, so if you want I can write a few words describing the process and send it to you. What do you think?
