    Or shutdown, or run continuously.

when running continuously there is no chance to get the new data.

I have the same SSD, but a reboot is superfluous gesture. So while using MPSync.

I am shutting down every htpc after i have finished watching tv/movies.
So i have a green IT and no waste of power :p

In your case its better to use MPSync.

Sorry for going offtopic. Have you already considered a product that is completely designed around the idea of a centralised database? MediaPortal 2 provides this (and much more) out of the box. It could be worth a try :)

@popy Can you add a function for "manual" sync?
I have also a always running machine (standby/resume).
It would be great to have a button to initiate a sync manually.

    Hey chrisonline.

What do you mean with manual sync?
PLease note, inside the GUI there is no possibillity of syncing the databases! This is by design because every plugin is holding its own sqlite cache in ram. replacing the db3 file will end in corrupted database. My plugin copy the db3 files from server at a very first stage of mediaportal startup where the plugins (moving pictures, mptvseries) are not running.
If you mean a little tool which just sync data if it get started -> this should be possible (but ediaportal must e closed!).

The only possible solution to the resume/standby setup is that my plugin restarts mediaportal everytime it comes out of standby.

I have seracched throught the mediaportal config for the "restart at resume" option, but didnt find it. Maybe i am blind but i could swear it was there anywhere in previous version. Maybe @Sebastiii can tell us more about such an option ;)

Whats the reaseon for an always on htpc?

OK I meant inside the GUI. But if MP has to be closed this is not possible.

A restart after resume is also not the best way for me because it takes tooo long.
This is why I always go to standby.

After starting it should be ready after a few seconds to watch TV, otherwise the WAF is going extremly down ;-)
If I boot completly it takes a few minutes until I can watch TV.

How long does your HTPC needs from boot until you see a TV picture?

Ok -> the WAF ;);) that we should keep in mind!
My WAF is extremly high on my HTPCS, since SSDs are not to expensive any more my HTPCs are booting in about 10 seconds (core i3, sata ssd...)

Do you also using SATA SSD as primary OS harddisk?

Yes I am also using an SSD as primary OS harddisk and AMD E-350 CPU.
10 seconds to boot, but until MediaPortal is started? And until you can switch to TV?

Which OS do you use? Windows 8 or 7?
