I really don't like this idea, and if it will come true, I most likely will leave MediaPortal behind... This definitely will end up in pure commerce, like it is on MediaBrowser... You can spend more than 200 Bucks on MB3, if you want. And even main apps like Android are not free... If you don't have a credit card or paypal, you even can't use it at all... I really hate this.
This is just another way of making money on other peoples work. Without the tons of work put into the main program, no one will ever use a "plugin".
Aside this, MediaPortal is a hobby (at least to me) and a hobby is something to spend money, not to make money, imho...
