TV-Server Version:
MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3.0
Windows Version: XP sp2
CPU Type: Pentium dualcore2
HDD: 7200 rpm
Memory: 1 GB
Video Card: nvidia
Sound Card: realtek
1. TV Card: Pinnacle PCTV USB2
1. TV Card Type: Analog
1. TV Card Driver: Pinncale 2.10
MPEG2 Video Codec: Inter Video DVR3

I cannot get my tv tuner to work. Just read the thread " Analog TV+Fm help please- Not working " and followed all the advise given here....but no luck.

I suspect that my tv tuner is not supported!

When I use autotune in TvServer it finds nothing and if i manual tune a channel and try to preview I get "Preview failed: unknow error".

If I try to start a channel in MediaPortal MY TV I get "Unable to start timeshifting, unknown error occured"

Looks like 17305 to 17324 had an issue with Analog. Has this ever worked for you? Please try the very latest 17336 and report back. Analog for me is working again.

    Hi,
I had a look at your logs and I think that TVE3 doesn't support your card. TVE3 fails to build a graph for you card.
I assume that your card is directly connected to your sound card. Unfortunately TVE3 doesn't support such analog cards.

    Hi MisterD

My card is with a USB2 connection Pinnacle PCTV100e. The internal version of the card - Pinnacle PCTV 100i - is supported, so I hoped that the USB2 would be so as well.

    Hi,
From your log TVE3 doesn't find a software encoder, have you installed one?

    Regards

    Hi Roy

    Thanks for joining...

I have read and followed instructions from you in a post I read yesterday - then one with the Australien guy.

I have done whats explained in this guide: UserGuides/SW-Cards setup - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

    But no luck......

If I run GraphEdit --> Inser Filter --> Video Compressors I find all the mentioned software encoders. Screenshot attached..

    Regard Peter

    Hi,
After you have added sw encoder & try to scan or preview in TV Setup, can you attach a new TV.log, need to see where it fails..

    Regards

I'm back....tried to run the TV server setup, scan for channels (found none), preview a manually set channel (unknow error) and manual control + start timeshift (again unknown error).

Just updated to the latest SVN build and sould have an encoder installed according to the previously attached screenshot of GraphEdit!

Any ideas......or is my card just not supported?
