Restoring EPG Genre map (1 Viewer)

Where is that EPG genre map being stored? Is it in some XML file? I'd like to restore following a new install without doing all the work of sorting those things in the UI.

Which map? The genre => colour map, or the EPG genre => MP genre map?

I got the colour map already. It's in that SkinSettings.xml file.

Almost everything - like the genre map - that is configured in TV Server configuration is stored in the TV Server database. Those particular settings are stored in the Setting table.

I don't think the DB survived my uninstall and I can't be bothered fishing out a single table anyway.

I think it would have survived unless you did a "full product cleanup"... though maybe I am wrong. If you lost the genre mapping then you lost your channels, schedules, tuner settings... everything.

Yep, though groups and channels I had an XML export for those. Very handy that. Should genre map not be part of settings XML export?

If the Setting table is exported then the genre map settings will automatically be included. They're stored like all others in the Setting table: as generic tag-value pairs.

Ok then I wonder why it did not get restored when I did my import... I'll try again tomorrow I guess.

First thing would be to check that the export file actually contains the settings.
