Re: Streamed MP v1.6.10 Stable [08 Aug 2011] [Supports MP 1.2 Beta]

Hi there,

Do you have plan for MP 1.2.0 RC compatibility. I understand from the todays RC release news that the compatibility checker means that all plugin and skins stop working with RC.

Thanks

Robbo100

From the release notes for the RC:

If you are running MediaPortal 1.2.0 Beta, then all your installed extensions (plugins and skins) will continue to work in 1.2.0 RC!

I just upgraded from the beta to the RC and the current version of the skin and my plugins work fine. I guess if you're installing from fresh the installers won't work but if you already have it it looks like you're set.

The StreamedMP v1.6.X and included plugins are fully compatible with MediaPortal 1.2RC. Its just old MPEI installers which are incompatible.

We also plan on making a new release v1.7 with-in the week with some more feature enhancements and plugin updates.

Just a friendly reminder, if you are doing a fresh install of MediaPortal 1.2 RC+ (Default Option) then ensure you first uninstall existing StreamedMP. Fresh installs of MediaPortal blow away the Data\Program directories created by the StreamedMP installer so can run into issues later when upgrading or uninstalling.

If you are doing an upgrade install of MediaPortal (First Option) then you shouldn't have any issues.
