Hello All,

Long time MP1 user, first time poster. I Can usually figure everything out on my own but I am have some trouble with some 4K media recently. I am encountering stuttering on all media from a certain source(author). The media plays fine/smoothly via windows movie and TV player on my desktop with Nvidia 650Ti-B gpu but no audio. The problem is the video stuttering and struggling to play on my HTPC. Listing spec below.

Media: 48GB 4K, HEVC, DTS audio, 24.9*** FPS..Bit rate is at 60501Kbps.
HTPC:
LG 65UH615A 120HZ @ 30hz/ 3840x2160 TV
ASUS Z97 plus
Intel HSW i5 with HD4600
8GB DDR3
M.2 Intel sataII SSD-OS
WD REDS for all media storage

Attempted fixes
GFX driver is the latest
Lav Filters was just updated to 068
Hardware acceleration DXVA2 native and copy back and intel synce attempted- helped other 4K media just not these few movies
Dynamic refresh rate enabled, table not modified.

Please let me know what you all think!
Thanks!

Hi and please upload your logs :)
You can give a try to madVR branch that permit MP to use 2gb Limit, it seems to help for 4K sample. (even in EVR)

Here is my log file.... I just upgraded to 1.15 and will try the 165 version of MadVR install now.
    --- Post updated ---
Ok got it all working but it was very laggy in the GUI and the same clip was still jittery. Thanks for the advice but I just rolled back to 1.15.0 release. My next step is to get a 9 series Nvdia GPU and see if that changes anything.

Let me know what the logs tell you! TIA

You can let too EVR, like this it will act like current MP but surely better (from user reports) :)
The laggy GUi can be related to madVR :)

I'm sorry that last post confuses me, can you please clarify. I would prefer to now run the testing MP especially when the GUI lags.

    Thanks

    Ok :)

So in latest MP madVR build, you can select madVR renderer or let EVR running.
Is you use EVR, it should act like official MP build but this madVR build branch has some tweak for letting MP better handle 4K video.

So when testing madVR branch build, you can use EVR (for regression testing) or use madVR for testing :)

Just for an update, my new EVGA 1060 SC 3gb plays every single 4k media file I can throw at it. Media doesn't even kick the fan on haha.
