Switching channels in myTV causes PC crash (1 Viewer)

I have installed mp yesterday and am facing following problem:
If I try to autotune myTV, mp will cause my whole pc to crash. As I can choose programs manually this is only a minor annoyance. Still, when I run mp and try to switch channels in myTV, my system will crash again within 1 second or so :? Any ideas how I can solve that problem?

I'm using a Medion 7134 TV Card with a Phillips 7134 chip (should work with mp according to the list on Mediaportal-homepage).

Possibly a driver problem. MediaPortal itself can't crash the PC.

sometimes I had a crash problem as well, updating the graphic card driver solved my issue. If you already have the latest driver installed then I suggest you try to use different codecs and see if the behaviour disappear.

thanks for your help; tried updating the driver of the graphic card as well as changing the codecs. Unfortunately the problem still persists; all that changed is that it takes the system 10 instead of 1 sec of stuttering performance to crash I will uninstall mp and hope for a later version to run more stable (or have less effect on my system...) cheers anyway
