trailers wont play (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I really like the look of this plugin and very eager to get it working however... upon trying to launch any trailer I simply get a black screen nothing starts to play.. its as if its launching the internal video player but not playing. is this a codec issue or something? the rest of my plugins are set to use an external KM player to play the video files which works well.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer with this.

Hi there,

i got the same issue!
Select a trailer, choose quality, screen turns black. In the taskmanager i can see traffic on the lan, so obviously the trailer is loading. At the moment the traffic stops, i'm back in the plugin. So it seem's as if the trailer was played - just without sound and picture.

BTW i have .mov files on my HDD, even fullHD, they play just fine.
I downloaded a trailer from apple's trailersite (saved it to HDD), that .mov playes just fine too. If i try to watch the same trailer with the plugin - no sound, no image, just a blank screen.

So i guess it is not a codec issue. Can anybody give me/us an hint?
I would love to get this plugin running.

I think by memory I had to install the vlc player plugin and set it to support only streamed content

No - That didnt work for me. But thank you anyway.

hi,can you tell me more details about the codecs you are using?I can see from your mediaportal.log that you are using VMR9 (winxp?),what video card u have and the driver version.

I solved this behaviour by reinstalling the haali splitter...

Like in the previous post logs i can't see haali splitter (ar) in your graph.Do you have any codec pack installed,if not what codecs do you have?Without this kind of info you will not get much help here.
From the error.log it seems to me that my trailers can't even connect to the selected trailer.Maybe armandp have some idea why's that.

i have CoreAVC & Haali Media Splitter inatalled. sorry but i dont fully understand the term 'graph' when it comes to codecs?

Now i will try to play the same trailer you played and see what happends.

Edit:For me the trailer play well so it's a codec issue on your side.Have you tryed with the internal player or u are using external players?
