Hi guys,
Seems that TsReader and ffdshow can not play back h.264 .ts files.
In MP I have set the h.264 codec to ffdshow. When I play a h.264 TS file / or watch h.264 Live TV the graph is build and the player starts playing but no images are rendered, after a few seconds MP crashes.
With Media Player / Vista Media Center and HaaliSplitter everything plays fine.
I noticed in the ffdshow tray icon that ffdshow gets the wrong format (it shows mpeg2video). This seems to be the problem, because with Haali Splitter it says AVC1 (libavcodec h.264)
I reproduced this problem outside MP by just creating a graph.
Sure enough, same thing: no images are rendered, GraphEdit crashes.
Now comparing the HaaliSplitter graph and the MPTsReader Graph I assume that the format setting is the problem.
With Haali this is: avc1 1920x1080, 24bits
With TSReader: RGB 720x576, 0bits
I attached the two graphs.
BTW: I also noticed that the AVC1 GUUID is not defined in DirectShowLib\Uuids.cs
The GUUID for AVC1 is 31435641, as you can see in the Graph, which is different than the one for h264
Can anybody help with this... I am not a filter expert
With PowerDVD it works, seems that PDVD does not care about the format setting.
