Hello,

I've set the TVService to "high" priority under the Configuration program, which it changes to once the Config program has been opened and closed, but when restarting TVService is only set to "normal" priority.

This problem is reproducable.

Attached are the logs but I see nothing useful in them!

Peter

The first thing any Dev will say is why do you need to change priority, this should never have been added as a configurable option in most peoples minds.

It was added to overcome bugs in some sh*tty DVB cards / drivers... No clue if it's currently working or not :)

It seemed to help avoid picture corruption when running more than one program on the TVserver. In this case the other program is Azureus, which isn't really being used at the moment anyway. I guess the obvious answer is to ignore the feature and close the program!

Prriority settings can be very helpful when using singlecore single cpu systems of low power, not everyone has multicore multicpu systems.

WRT Azureus, set its priority to low as it can be a resource hog espeacialy in its latest guise.

Thanks, was beginning to think I was being ignorant or doing something wrong.

It's very helpful because unless the process is prioritised I see picture breakup and stuttering if asking the server to do anything else.

I have already set azureus to low priority, seems to have helped too =)
