    I'm having issues after the win10 second upgrade. When viewing a video from TV-Series, or Recorded TV, the video exits suddenly. When restarted there is no sound. I must restart MediaPortal and play the video again (at least the point at which it stopped is remembered... but sometimes it takes just a few minutes more of viewing and the video exits again.

    I had done a quick reinstall of MP in the mean time, but had the same issue afterwards. This was on my living room client. The dedicated TV-Server has been operating properly so far.

    I'm running watchdog right now to try to catch it happening... will post when it does.

    here is the logs zip. I was in a hurry, I guess, to get a result, so I skipped ahead in the recording several times... the video exited as expected, then on replaying it, I only got black screen and no sound, I could see the time-shifting osd, when I used it, but no video. I stopped and started the video a couple times with the same black screen. I exited and backed out to the basic home screen and exited MP.

    Hi Chuck :)

    The log files show that playback is stopped intentionally. It is stopped because Windows tells MediaPortal that a new audio renderer has been connected, and your configuration says to stop playback when this happens:
    [2015-11-15 21:24:28,175] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Main: WM_DEVICECHANGE (Event: DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL)
    [2015-11-15 21:24:28,189] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Main: Device type is DBT_DEVTYP_DEVICEINTERFACE - Name: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
    [2015-11-15 21:24:28,195] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: Audio Renderer Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) connected
    [2015-11-15 21:24:28,200] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - GraphicContext: device audio connected
    [2015-11-15 21:24:28,211] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - g_Player.doStop() keepTimeShifting = False keepExclusiveModeOn = False
    [2015-11-15 21:24:28,218] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - g_Player.OnStopped()

    That audio renderer is removed again shortly afterwards:
    [2015-11-15 21:24:29,118] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Main: WM_DEVICECHANGE (Event: DBT_DEVICEREMOVECOMPLETE)
    [2015-11-15 21:24:29,130] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Main: Device type is DBT_DEVTYP_DEVICEINTERFACE - Name: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
    [2015-11-15 21:24:29,140] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Main: Audio Renderer Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) removed
    [2015-11-15 21:24:29,148] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - GraphicContext: device audio removed

    After this when you tried to play recordings, the log files show MediaPortal was not able to connect the audio codec:
    [2015-11-15 21:24:49,716] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - Added filter: LAV Audio Decoder to graph
    [2015-11-15 21:24:49,719] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - TSReaderPlayer: UpdateFilters Audio done
    ...
    [2015-11-15 21:24:50,014] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Check graph connections for: LAV Audio Decoder
    [2015-11-15 21:24:50,017] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - - remove done

    This is why there is no sound when you restart playback.

    I can't tell you why Windows thinks the speakers were connected and disconnected again like that. What I can do is suggest that you install this patch:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...n-mediaportal-1-12.131227/page-4#post-1142818

    It should resolve the problem for you.
