Thank you all for your feedback!

    Pog:
    Volume control is/should already possible.
Just move your mouse over the gadget and scroll your mousewheel or click on "-/+".

Nice to see you again ;-).
mobile control -> perhaps. I don't know if I will find time for it.

Hey Messiahs, this looks very good! Just one question, why didn't you base it on existing backends like mp-extended and WifiRemote? Are they lacking any features you need?

    Hi Shukuyen,

i saw similar projects in MP, but i had already made the webserver part and some skins (years ago) for another project (iPhone /iPod touch and xpTunes (remote control) - YouTube).
So it wasn't a great effort to change the access layer.
A big reason was, that skins (like this small gadget) will support two different backends (Mediaportal & JRMediaCenter).

Yes I've seen this but I have a slightly different need.

I'm looking for an option to control the master volume instead of the application volume.

The reason for this is that I do not use MP's internal music player. I have MP play music with Winamp and just control the whole HTPC with the master volume control (win7).

hmmm, i never had this problem before...
    - MediaPortal 1.2.1
    - .net Framwork 3.4
    is installed ?

Do you see the xpTunes.dll in folder "...\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\process"
Can pls attach the mediaportal.log, error.log and Configuration.log.

Perhaps a new xpTunes installation will help.
