idioteque Retired Team Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 618 Thanks: 5 Thanked 9 Times in 6 Posts Country: My System	[TRICK] to fix SB Live won't mute sound anymore fix Trick to fix SB Live won't mute sound anymore From time to time windows XP decides to stop making my MCE 2005 remote to mute. I found that the whole mute checker on the mixer is broken somehow. The fix is to remove the SB Live soundcard from the device manager, and restart. Windows will auto find the driver again and tada, mute works again.
