Country: | This may be a dumb question, but does this require the use of a blaster? I *think* I've taught my MCE remote to turn off the display (Olevia 337H). It does the double blink confirmation thing and all that. But pushing the button doesn't seem to have any effect. |

It could always be, that your remote uses code combinations that can't be learned by the MCE remote. Best try to train it with another device (e.g. amplifier) to test if there's a general problem with your remote or if it's just a problem that it cannot read those "special" codes.

Country: | Most third party MCE remotes (Hauppauge, etc... packages that do not include a microsoft orininal remote) can not be programmed... A genuine Microsoft remote can.. as can the MCE Keyboard. |
