Thanks. I think I know what the problem is. I played Terminator 3 and everything worked ok. I probably got a bad disc on that "Flying Daggers" movie.

So, no need to chase after this. Thanks.

waeberd: I need your help again. I notice that after I installed and configured my gamepad, and after I used MP Setup and exited, my windows cursor would roll up the screen to the very top icon on the windows screen. I cannot click on any other icon, since it keeps rolling up. I can use my task bar MP icon, and once I am in MP, the cursor keeps rolling up like crazy, and I have to keep pushing my gamepad pov to stop it from rolling. Once it stops, it works perfect. Then when I exit back to windows, it is normal again, and I can click on other icons on windows.

Thanks. My specs:

Logitech wireless Rumblepad2
Logitech bluetooth mousse & keyboard
AMD64 3200+, DFI Lanparty 250 UT Mobo.

So, how do you map ALT+F4? Whenever I try to do this, it just closes the configuration window. In addition, no matter what combo i try to map, say ALT+3 for example, it doesn't fill in the "Kill Process" field. What am i missing?

Hmm, i think you should press buttons of your gamepad. Not buttons from keyboard.

Apart that, i'm unable to actually kill process with gamepad buttons. Looks like emu is "stealing" button presses and not forwarding them to MP. Could this be emulators gamepad plugin depended.

I posted this in the support forum but got no replies. Now, I disconnected gamepad (Logitech wireless Rumblepad2) and everything is ok. I have reinstalled the gamepad drivers and software, but cannot get rid of the error. Here is the original question I posted:

Synopsis: Alter I did a repair to xp and reinstalled 0.2 rc2, tried to do setup and clicked ok. It gave an error message that configuration.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Here is the detailed message:

EvenType: clr20r3 P1: configuration.exe P2: 1.0.2177.20397 P3: 43a3e64a P4: microsoft.directx.directinput P5:1.0.2902.0 P6: 40eeb491 P7:20b P8:0 P9:system.nullreferenceexception

Despite of this error, MP still works, but when I close it, it gives same error. Sometimes I have to reboot in order to open MP again.

I have now disconnected my gamepad, but really missed the control. Please help. TIA

If you have a wifi router you can use your 1.0/1.5 PSP as a gamepad.

Wow, what a helpful description! Thanks for writing it up, I only wish I'd looked for it before I tried to do this through trial and error.

I still have one question and one problem though. Is there any way to make the analog stick control mouse movement? I see "mouse move" in the action pulldowns, but it doesn't seem to have an effect. It would be nice to use the pad (I have Logitech Rumblepad 2) as mouse when using programs through the MyPrograms plugin since my wireless mouse only has ~1.5m range. Not a big deal though.

Also, I seem to have the same problem SickBoy documented a few posts back. My EndProcess button combo occasionally stops working. When I open setup.exe, the kill process slot is empty and I have to 'relearn' the desired combo. Then it's fine for a while before suddenly disappearing again? I've been getting one other plugin glitch since I upgradeded to 0.2.2.0 so I'm going to try another clean install. Hopefully that'll help, but I'd love to hear if anyone figured out what causes this.

Thanks again!
Dan
