Default CRT HDTV with HMDI, how to get the display back!

here's a tip i learn, connecting my dvr to my HDTV via a DVI to HDMI cable, works great, but when you turn off your tv and turn it back on. you can not get the MP display back on the HDMI channel.

My work around for this was to set windows on my dvr to turn off moniter after 1 minute, that way when i finish watching tv, i turn off my tv and when i come back to watch tv again, i turn on my tv, set it to the HDMI channel and press a button on my dvr remote, to wake up the tv.

enlight of this, i think i'm goign to purchase another 6600 card with component outputs.
