GB-PVR/MediaPortal Hybrid. Am I the only one?

I use GB-PVR's recording service which has Comskip integrated and use MediaPortals interface to play the clean videos. I hope to lose GB-PVR as soon as Comskip is 100% automatic in MediaPortal, but for now it's working fine. Am I the only one?

I tried the combo initially (after MultiShortcut was made), but then left GBPVR for the really embedded feel of MP.

I would prefer it if MediaPortal had a separated server/client. That way I could run it as a service process automatically on start up, and not waste resources on a GUI when I do other things.

But meh.

I also use the GB-PVR recording service. it's nice to now that tv will be recorded aslong as my pc is on.

would be good if media portal had a tv service so when media portal crashes i don't lose what i'm recording.

(and when some dev adds better menu handling, multiple calls to modules and plugins with different options and much better dbase handling, it will be love... ah and a nice 3D front end and inter-module messaging system and...) Don't argue with the founder of Greek Off-Topic Community about taking a thread off-topic. I cannot help it! My webshots album (contains the old version of my HTPC setup too)
