Default How to get timeshifting to work under windows 2000/2003

Mediaportal uses the streambuffer engine from microsoft for recording and timeshifting live TV.
Unfortunaly this engine only comes with Windows XP SP 1,
meaning My TV wont work under windows 2000 / 2003.
There is however a way to get it working

1. find the following files on your (legal) Windows XP SP1

sbe.dll
sbeio.dll
wmvcore2.dll

2. copy them to your windows 2000/2003
in c:\windows\system32

3. regsrv32 the sbe.dll & wmvcore2.dll

That should do the trick
When you've done things correctly then timeshifting & my tv should work under win2000/2003

go to a command window, and simply type:
regsrv32 sbe.dll
regsrv32 wmvcore2.dll

They should then be good to go.

Not to be picky and all. Please use REGSVR32.

REGSRV32 will not work.

Frodo: thank you for pointing us in the right direction.

Sounds great.

I searched the forum about this for about 4 hours yesterday. That should definitly be in the configuration wiki
