Had a problem cutting the commercials, since comclean tells me that it is not a valid Mpg file.
Looks like mpgtx can't work with dvr-ms.
Correct?

rgds,

Helmut

I am working on the "panic volume buffer" Net effect at this moment is that limited audio info is used.

None of the "comclean" family can cut dvr-ms
The whole reason for making comskip work on dvr-ms is to enable playback inside MP to autoskip commercials without the need to cut the recording.
Hope someone enables the MP player to read the output of comclean when playing back.
Both zoomplayer and mplayer are able to read the comskip output but at least mplayer can not play dvr-ms

New Comskip is available.
All DVR-MS should work now.
Comskip can demux dvr-ms to support editing

Erik,

can confirm that the problem with the Volume is gone.
File is being processed without any errors.
Verified the Cut Points given and it detected all commercials in my test file.
Couldn't verify the demuxing, since neither the "-m" switch and the --output_demux=1 are recognized as valid switches.

regards,

Helmut

The -m demux switch indeed was forgotten to be included. Will be in the next release
Use
output_demux=1
in the comskip.ini file.

Anyone out there that can send me a NTSC dvr-ms recording?
Preferrably with a transition between show and commercials.

PM me for the upload details.

I want to archive the processed MPEG's. I have run comskip and the two text files have been generated, how do I actually get the commercials cut out? I can't find how to do this either, am I missing something?

Would it be too much to ask you to read the first post in this thread? There's an excellent how-to by Ralph.
