Yes, I know about that.
What I'm still looking for is to cut dvr-ms and save it as dvr-ms again, without the step to convert to mpeg.
But I will test the new comskip version as soon as possible.

Did you have any experiences with this new version?

Regards
Ralph
I made a small utility called DVRCut that can cut a dvr-ms file based on the output of comskip.
Look at the build 36 release notes of Comskip and download dvrcut.zip

Default Automatic Commercial Skip

Quote:
Also have you heard of anyone being able to run this product on the fly? As in while recording, comskip is working and marking where the comerical starts and ends creating a txt file the whole time. If you are on delay, and watching the video, it would cut out the comericals on the fly. Or when watching a recorded video, look at the txt file and just skip the comericals without removing them from the actual video... basically just jumping ahead in the video.
Anybody have any luck implementing this?

set
live_tv=1
in the comskip.ini and comskip will output the commercials on the fly while scanning.
Once the total file is scanned the output will be updated with the more powerfull total file heuristics.

Has this been implemented yet? I have no need to compress files, just want to watch them without ads. I know this is implemented in GB-PVR, and in my view, is the only thing stopping MediaPortal from having everything!

Oh, and it would be nice as a plugin as well

Default comclean is not working...

I tried comskip, it is analizing the file for ads, it is creating two text files and one log file, after that it is renaming the existing video with '_original' at end of file(it contains ads as before), but i do not see the ads removed video !! am i missing something?

thanks in advance

That looks like you might be using a fairly old version of comskip and comclean. Can you confirm which versions you are using.

cheers

Ok its not that then! I would recommend you try over on the comskip support forums http://mk.kaashoek.com/comskip/viewforum.php?f=5
and also can you open your postprocessing.bat file with notepad and post it here, as that is a possible source of the problem. Cheers m
