| Hi, As I found no real solution to make the remote keyboard work on my windows xp home installation, I decided to explore some options myself Once you followed through, the keyboard should have full navigation and keyboard functionality. The solution is actually quiet easy: 1) Get MCE Rollup 2 eng http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en deu http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=de 2) Extract the exe package using winrar, which will provide you with access to all files. 3) Install all hotfixes one by one. (Dont touch the MCInstaller.exe, just the ..KB.. files) Some of them might fail as they are media center specific. One of the hotfixes will upgrade the usb driver for the IR receiver. You will get multiple installation requests for new hardware. Let windows search for the drivers and install them. 4) The keyboard should be fully functional now ![]() Enjoy Alexander [/url] |
