You can use the mediakeys on your keyboard.

Thanks to Smirnoff, Keyboards with "Media keys" such as; Play, pause, stop next, and back now works natively with mediaportal.

This also applies to all HID-devices using the relevant wm_app_media commands.

Is there any possibility to add additional keys to work with mediaportal ? I use remote which is recognized as HID devices and ( thanks to Smirnoff ) lot of keys ( play, stop, etc. ) works fine , but my remote has additional keys , as 'more' or 'dvd menu' which aren't recognized. I couldn't find any information , so if Anybody know anything, i'd be thankful

@ waszkamp: I recently set up this guide for EventGhost. Refer to it to get your other keys to work (note: add ALL HID devices during plugin installation).
