I'm guessing that it's because I didn't configure the plugin in MP Config. It's not that I didn't try It's just not there in the plugins branch of MP config.

Some background. I use Mediaportal on a single HTPC with no TV server and no capture cards. It's just playing videos from "My Videos". I have a couple of questions:

1) should I be able to use iPiMP to control the playback of My Videos? (select, play, stop, pause, ff, etc).
2) assuming #1 is true, any idea why the plugin doesn't appear in MP Config on the MP PC?

Thanks for any help!

Dan
Which option did you select when installing iPiMP? You should have used the MediaPortal remote control web installation option.

Does C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\process\iPiMPClient.dll exist?
Does C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\inputDeviceMappings\Default\iPiMP.xml exist?

Version 3.2.0 includes a couple of remote control pages which mimic an MCE remote - sou you can up/down/left/right etc.

Version 3.3.0 will include MyVideos pages which will allow you you view a movie list and select which one to play.

Yes, both of the files mentioned above exist. I used the "MediaPortal remote control web installation".

Thanks.

Switch your configuration utility to expert mode and look again. I'll update the install doc to indicate that.

Awesome work, Cheezy - iPimp is really coming along nicely. Any plans to extend the music-part of the plugin? It would be great to get access to an interface that allows you to browse My Music to a greater extend. So I'd really love if you could include that when you expand the remote control

Yes I plan to expand the music part so you can view the MP music database by Artist, Album, Genre etc. Hopefully with album art too. Then you can select what music to play on your client. I'll also be looking into streaming the music to your iPod/iPhone.

Hi Cheezey, is it not possible to cancel the login process? Is the Loginpage necessary?
