i have the following situation:

i have a recording running. while it's recording, i am watching another program. now i want to switch to the recording. i open epg, select the red marked program, press ok and it runs the recording from livepoint without asking.
if going to the records and select the actual recording, i am asked to start the record from beginning or start at the current live point.

shouldn't I be asked where to start, if selecting the recording in EPG?

Is it a series recording? There is an issue about that which should be fixed: 0002684: Watch recording from beginning / live point" not working for series recordings - MediaPortal Bugtracker.
Perhaps the fix is not good or it broke something else.

no series recording. just recording once.

Using 2 TV cards on the tvserver,

starting client, tv on TV3(card1) Works
changing channel to TV6(card2) Works
changing back to TV3(card1) Failes
Need to restart tvserver service for the server to work again

starting client, tv on TV6(card2) Works
changing channel to TV3(card1) Failes
Need to restart tvserver service for the server to work again

starting client, tv on TV6(card2)Woks
stoping tv on client Works
starting TV3(card1) Works

The last 2 svn's i could have problems with this but i never needed to restart the TVServer.

I had alot of problems with crashes in older svn's but this one seems more stable.

With this SVN, LiveTV HD channels are still blocky with Win7 and the inbuild audio/video codecs.
CPU load is below 25% so HW acceleration seems to be active.

This is 100% reproducible for "Das Erste HD" and "ZDF HD".
Please let me know if you need logs or a sample TS file...

Ok, attached are logs from "Das Erste HD".
The corresponding TS file can be found here:

Folder "DVB-S" --> Filename "MPUserFromGER_win7_HD_blocky.zip"
Especially the last 10 seconds of the file are horrible!

I thought maybe tourettes knows that there is a problem and can tell me that immediately

I can confirm your issue - same for me here. HD totally unusable CPU Load < 20%. But i can't post logs as i'm using my release just wanted to tell the devs that there are more people like you having problems.

Addionally:
on SD material since dshowhelper SVN: 24894 i've a lot of dropped frames viewing PAL 25fps on 50hz tv. Copying dshowhelper from before to this svn and nearly 0 dropped frames.

You should, and I can confirm here that this is working.

Edit: this was working, fixes are in SVN around 24925. I can confirm that it is not working with Maya Blue and Blue3 Wide skins.

RikSmith - these are your fixes, right? Are you able to check if the EPG fix I tested made it into SVN?

Edit2: the changes were committed in SVN 24928, and were working. The only other change to affect the relevant file (TvGuideBase.cs) was in SVN 24962, fixing mantis 2684. It is reasonable to assume that this fix broke the earlier fix, but not possible to confirm without further testing.

Just use Cyberlink H264-decoder for HDTV, works fine.
