same problem here. using ms-sql server. there was nothing to change with database-scheme so i let it, like it was settet up. its also not clear for me, what i should change there. seems only to infect my-sql and not ms-sql-server. did the same like the guy above. said also no to uninstall tv-server. also ended up with an empty database;( regards parkuhr | |

| Portal Member | update: maybe i have found out the the reasson for the empty database after installing new svn. after installaing tv-server, it seems to create a new database called: MpTvDbRC1 this databse is of course empty. after starting tv-server, it sugest for database: MpTvDbRC1 if you choose this MpTvDbRC1, tv-server is connecting to an empty database! so there are no channels or anything. so you must chance the db-setup of the tvserver! its easy like. rtv explained it: SetupTv with parameter "--configure-db" or "-c" (Maybe create a shortcut for that). if you have executet this command, the tv-server-database-connect tab is showing again. there you replace "MpTvDbRC1" with "tvlibrary" now you should have your old settings back ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------- have found no other way yet, to get my programm and channels back after installing new svn. (exept importing my channels.xml file and keep MpTvDbRC1 as default-database but i don t see the point , why i should do this) hope, this helps some people out there ![]() greetings parkuhr Last edited by parkuhr; 2008-04-27 at 01:48. |

Country: | ehm sometimes , i am asking myself why we add those information before we release somethings. MEDIAPORTAL - free MediaCenter HTPC Software - RC1 SVN builds started http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/me...18/#post260030 It's okay to not see something once. But after pointing to the information, like ronilse did it in his post, should not be ignored again. Sorry but it is helping you all and us, if you would read the infos, before installing anythings. regards chefkoch and i am sure this was not the last post regarding this problem |

Country: | HI MP Team I have had continual problems with analogue for quite some time and it still dont seam to get any better.. I cannot find the issue and is driving me made.. I have done many clean installs and dont appear to fix the issue.. The problem is that when i try to scan MP just crashes and i get the blue screen and usually random error types. I have added and removed the WINDVR3 many times and when installed i get blue screen crash with random error types. When uninstalled i get blue screen but dont show a particular error type. I can scan all digital no problem and can scan analogue via WINDVR3 direct as well as 3 other applications and dont have a issue.. I have looked at the logs but are really unsure in what im looking for but also dont appear to show anything directly related.. Im sure there has to be a reason and maybe a fix but cannot figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Logs attached. | Portal Member | I am still having the same problem as I had with the original RC1, in that it does not appear to correctly scan the frequencies for channels. (see this thread http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/in...ls-rc1-38301/). Originally I thought I was doing something wrong but I don't appear to be the only one suffering. Any ideas? If you need any more information let me know. Sy |
