Please make sure your hardware is working and your satellite dish is aligned correctly before you even try any software.
Btw: There's no crash of tvservice at all in your log!?

hi rtv

my hardware is working! it was working all the time. maybe this entry isn t correct, i dunno. why should my hardware not working since i installed new svn? this make no sense. for better understunding what i mean and my bad english, here a short part in german:

2 remarks:

1> TV-Server imports of old recorded shows makes watching tv-recordings impossible due to the inserted channel ID of "-1" in the recordings table, after changing this manually to an existing channelID the recordings-menu in MP is accessable again. This is a bug in both RC1 and this SVN

2> As mentioned before in this thread, with this SVN, mediaportal is always out of focus on startup. I'm using Vista32.

Other things are running very smooth in this SVN; TV channel switching is fast. Great work guys!

Running Vista Ultimate 32 bits, I also have the out of focus issue when MP starts up. Just like others mentionned, I don't want force MP to allways be on top, as I like to open a browser on top of live TV every now and then.

For the rest this is a very stable build. THANKS!

I have a problem ever since installing RC1 on both my computers. When I fast forward Divx movies the first speed plays the audio as well so it sounds like the chipmunks. This has never happend until I installed the RC1 package.

I also have the focus issue with Vista 32bit. It was fine in RC1.

Just installed the new SVN for RC1 and i must say that all went very well

Looks like the changing TV channels improved again and is faster then the previously release.

3 things i'm running into:

1. Startup of MP seems amazingly slow. During startup screen it seems to hang on the "Starting Plugins..." message. That lag/hang takes about 1 minute and then it starts MP.

2. I'm missing DScaler Audio Decoder Filter in MP Config (which solved audio (and video) problems on some channels).

3. I'm having problems mounting files with Daemon Tools. I've tried several DVD's (.ISO/.IMG) and some of them are still working while others just don't mount anymore. When they mount (and start) the menu shows up but when i want to play them, they just hang and give me a black screen.

I'm not sure if this is and SVN issue or an RC1 issue.

Curious if others are experiencing the same problems.

Any idea what can cause that problem? It all worked perfect before.

** EDIT **

Forgot to mention that the swithing of the radio channels is WAY WAY WAY better. Starting the channels is instantly now (wasn't before) and switching is almost directly. Great job

Heh, I've now found a new issue. TV Server finds my channels just fine, previewing them works just fine, it seems the EPG grabbers are doing their job when looking at the logs, but...

On the client (single-seat btw) I can watch TV and change channels just fine (even if the changes takes quite some time), but I get no EPG, no channel listing (!!!), no info for current watched show etc.

Any ideas what to look for? Since I've seen no-one else mentioning the same thing I guess it's probably something on my end of things, but it was like this from clean install (now I've of course tried to find the error and installed a few plugins, so it's not entirely clean any more).

I'd be happy to post any logs etc, iirc, I had quite a lot of null exceptions in the main MP one.... Would it be enough to just clear the logs, start up MP and go into the channel list in MyTV or something?

I tried switching the mode of Conflicts manager from fast to others but it always was switched back to fast after reopening tvservice configuration program. Afterwards I disabled the plugin. The same result I always get the overlapping message but can't choose to ignore the overlapp.

by the way: How is this plugin (conflicts manager) involved in this? I don't see an effect when disabeling it.

Thx for your great work!

=> Doesn't anyone has a comment or idea to this? Can someone at least tell me if this functionality is from MediaPortal / TVServer or ConflictsManager? So I can make a proper Bug entry. Thx
