drastic performance improvement for mini-guide (especially displaying very large groups)
reason: someone had dumped the highly efficent blayer.GetNowAndNext() method which only fetches programs for all channels once. Instead of this gentle.net was fetching (with large overhead) the referring current program and next program per channel!
Additionally localized strings are only fetched once now (not for each channel).

Overnight tetsing, unfortunately poor results with TVplugin for local client.

LogsPC1; PC with MP GUI idle in HOME and left to schedule record and hibernate.
Failed at first hibernation event, looks like the client plugin didn't respect the EPG grab and forced unsuccessfuly the hibernation event, failed as the graph didn't decompose properly. PC did hibernate as forced by plugin but on returning from hibernation the TVservice was dead and everything failed to connect/run correctly.


LogsPC2; PC with MP GUI left timeshifting a very stable channel and with just one schdule event to record (i tried to make it easy) the timeshifting hung the PC .


PC 3 (no logs) TVSERVICE on its own with multiple schedules and hibernation events, all worked without serious errors. No logs as they have rolled over so far nothing is realy pertinent.


This small test run above seems to show that the tvplugin in MP GUI is the bad boy at the moment, not respecting rules WRT EPG grab, poor hibernation stability , and poor timeshifting stability.

I will run a similar test tonight with the most recent SVN at that time, let me know if there are any specifics you would like set/tried out.

Trying to see why timeshifting seems to be a problem I started TVSERVER afresh and used SETUPTV to preview a known stable channel (excellent reception) .

In under an hour memory had leaked to over 2gig and then setuptv crashed with the OS catching the debug info for MS.

The TVSERVICE was still running and restarting SETUPTV all was OK so far.

The logs are taken before the MS debug was actioned.

Did you try a long-run-test on that machine without the powerscheduler plugins?

Confirmed : disabling the powerscheduler in SETUPTV and the memory leak doesn't occur during preview.

hi... after i installed the snapshot i cant enter plugins menu... the second i press plugins it brings up an error message.

tried to reinstall svn without luck
