this version is the absolute overkill for my installation:
i can´t start tv AND can´t start any radio channel...
hope this will be fixed VERY soon.

the only working thing on my mp is music and dvd...

According to your logs the TvServer is fine.
There seems to be something wrong with the TsReader filter.
Please try to reregister TsReader.ax with "regsvr32.exe TsReader.ax" and see what happens.

Hi!

TVServer is crashing since SVN 21.03.2008. This happens if any client (local or remote) tries to access the TVServer and to tune in any channel.

Logs attached.

This is in the event-viewer:
Faulting application TVService.exe, version 1.0.0.18341, faulting module TsWriter.ax, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00028ffb.

Seems that TsWriter.ax is faulty? Any ideas?

Minor bug - Complete uninstall of previous SVN - removed tvserver database from mysql directory - reboot - did fresh install - Then did not import my backed up TV channels first - went directly to "Recording Settings" and clicked on "Custom Paths and Filenames" received crash message and SetupTV closed - tried several times and it kept crashing when going to the "Recording Settings" option

If I imported my TV Channels first - then everything works ok with this area.

I would file this under a "Dummy Proofing" bug

Have similar phenomena as tzi
on 1 of my 2 installations.

#1 On WINXP SP2 no problem.

#2 On MCE2005 SP2 (all updates including VC++ 2K5 red)
TSWRITER crashes TVSERVICE.

Eventlog shows following:

Faulting application tvservice.exe, version 1.0.0.18341,
stamp 47ec6eea, faulting module tswriter.ax,
version 0.0.0.0, stamp 47e94fc6, debug? 0, fault address 0x00005db0.


Faulting application tvservice.exe, version 1.0.0.18279,

I get the same problem as robsworld (1st post of this thread) and and-81

On trying to scan for channels the configuration program crashes.

Have attached log files in case they're of any help!
I've just tried using Build 18080 and it finds the channels correctly (ie finds them and doesn't crash)

Hello gemx! Thanx a lot.
Works again. TV is fine, but dvb-s radio is working with the known bugs that i´ve posted a few days ago into the tvserver bugreport forum.

Hello,

did a fresh install and removed the tvserver database.
mediaportal freeze on change channel.

Here is what i do.

open tv, everything is fine.
change channel, picture freezes but sound is okay
try to change channel again and mediaportal does full freeze. I have to kill the process.

I get the same result each time, I have tried several different svn but no avail.
This only happens on encrypted channels. as long as i only change between free to air channels, everything is fine.
I don't have the same problem in dvbviewer.
