Scanning working well thanks!

I do notice something different from much older SVNs I've used, the scans no longer populate info in the VideoPid and AudioPID sections. By design? Are these even necessary as channels stil tune in.

That is not needed anymore.
We only need the pmt pid.
If we then tune to a transponder we wait for a pmt with the given pid.
Decode the pmt table and get the audio/video pids.

Hi!

I use SVN 18436.

Is the bug "no Radio channels shown with DVB-S" gone with the newer SVN?

I still have no streaming server after the server goes into stanby and then wakes up!
Don't know if I am the only one.no errors in the log and according to log it looks like all is working.
if I restart the service or computer the streaming server functions again.

Default Channel Scanner

I can't understand if I only still have the scanner problem or something else.
I've tested new installers (unistalled old MP before, restarted from clean install)
Installation OK but when I try to scan only one frequency is parsed with no results on screen and then stop !
Then, if I move to another page, always of "TV-Server Configuration" only the header changes.
See attachements.

Bad news is that if I try an older setup I have this behaviour now...

Cheers,
Daniele

DonBogo & Gemx,

I think this may be the same thing that has been around for a while. During a scan the first transponder NEVER returns anything. I reported this a while ago, but Gemx has had much bigger fish to fry. Now that TSWriter and TSReader seem to be working so well, maybe he will get around to looking at it. Or it might be fixed, I havne't checked in a while.

There is an easy work around for it though, just create a "fake" transponder file with a "dummy" first transponder. Next time you scan the "second" transponder (which is really the first) will be picked up.

EDIT:
I just reread DonBogo's post and I think I misunderstood him the first time. I believe he is saying that he doesn't stop the scan, but only one transponder is read in. I looked over your logs and it seems that the database seems corrupted:

"The columns url, bitrate in table TuningDetail do not exist"

You will have to restore from a backup, or reinstall from scratch.

Edit2:

I confirmed that the first transponder still does not scan in and still needs to be fixed.

I have problems lately getting the service to stop properly. if i manually stop/start the service a couple times in setup, the service locks up. I can't even taskkill the tvservice.exe I end up having to reboot. also in setup if i select a channel then select another channel it will give me an 'all cards are busy error' instead of just changing the channel.
