descript.ion file support for picture desciption?

hi guys!

Fantastic application that mediaportal, just starting to use it & already finding lots of features like I dreamed of!
One of the few missing is the possibility to show the description associated to my pictures...
I know there are different ways to have descriptions on pictures, like exif or DB's, but all are still too much dependent on the program used, while descript.ion files are used on old ACDsee versions since years (before they changed) & still used in freeware Image utilities like xnview.
Of course there are drawbacks like, when you renamed images ...

But well, so descript.ion files are just one text file in one directory.
That file contains things like:
DSCF3372.JPG Open greenhouse

=> Filename & the rest is desciption...

should be easy to implement no ?
