Thanks for the reply,

yes i have tried adding the modified slideshow.xml from post 13 in addition to the R3 download in the first post. I can see the exif comment in the properties dialogue but i get no OSD (either in slideshow or on when regularily viewing)
I think this is a great little project adn would dearly like to get it going. I use .2.3.0 stable with the latest version of monochrome as a skin.

Yes, I tried this, I download the version in #13 and copy this to the skin-directory. Without success. To be sure that the program use this file, I delete this file then complete. After this, the program create a new file 'slideshow.xml'. I think, it is a problem with differences in my and your version. I use Version 0.2.3.0 stable.
