Show Video in Slideshow?

I thinkI asked about this before, but don't remember seeing a recommendation/solution, so here goes again.

With my digital camera, I take .jpg and also short .mpgs. In MP, if I view the contents of a share/directory by date, I can see all of the media I captured. But the mpgs never show. Of course MP can play mpeg video.... In a slideshow, how can I get the mpgs in the same directory as jpgs to just play simply? I don't need any fancy features or anything, I just want them to play like the other (image) content in the directory.
