Country: | I have a .TS file with H.264 encoded video at 1080p. When I play this with MP it has a little stutter in the video, but when I play the same file with Media Player Classic (MPC) it plays smooth. Some info about the setup I use: Hardware CPU : Intel P4 3.0Ghz Memory : 1GB Video : nVidia 8500GT 512MB Silent Software OS : Windows XP SP2 MediaPortal : 0.2.3.0 RC1 Media Player Classic : 6.4.9.0 Codecs : Cyberlink PowerDVD 7.3 built 3104 AC3 Filter 1.45b Video Driver : Forceware 165.01 (non official beta) Both MP and MPC are configured to use VMR9 renderless. DXVA is working in both cases since my CPU load is only 15-20%. DXVA is a must for me because without it I am constantly hitting 100% CPU barrier. Is there anybody who can explain or confirm the difference in performance between MP and MPC? ![]() Last edited by gdb66; 2007-08-23 at 09:02. |

| Hi, I have the same problem. My System: Asus M2N32-SLI deluxe Athlon X2 4800+ 4GB RAM 8600 GTS Resolution 1080P (tried 24Hz 50Hz 60Hz) Tried MANY Forceware Drivers H.264 Codecs I tried so far: Intervideo 7, Cyberlink 7 and 7.3, CoreAVC 1.5, FFDSHOW Philipp Hi, I solved the problem on my system by unchecking "USE ENHANCED VIDEO RENDERER (VISTA)" in Configuration-directshow filter-enhanced video renderer. Everything fine now. Try this, pls. Philipp Last edited by Philipp1601; 2007-09-21 at 20:10. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Country: | Is there any way to increase performance (aside from additional horsepower) without removing postprocessing? Is it possible to just remove postprocessing on videos that need it? 1080i and 720p work fine but 1080p studders bad on a dual core 3ghz p4 with 2gb of ram. Any suggestions? Can i disable postprocessing on files in the mkv wrapper? (this is not preferred since deblocking is needed even in 720p movies.) any other thoughts/suggestions? edit- this happens outside of mediaportal so it is not a mediaportal issue. Country: | The best thing to try is to tweak Media Portals settings, try using a high definition codec. I personally recommened Nvidia PureVideo if your card supports it.
