Country: | My Videos on my system are very dynamic. I put movies on the system for the family for awhile and then delete them after awhile to make room for new ones. Is there a way to have MP automatically cleanup the movie database and remove movies that are no longer on the computer? Neal |

Country: | I to would be interested to hear how people manage their movie catalogs. It would be great it there was some way to have movies auto add to your video db along with its respective imdb info... as well as remove itself when the file is deleted. MyTVSeries does this beautifully for TV Shows, but Ive yet to see something for movies. Thanks in advance! Last edited by timofcourse; 2007-05-05 at 16:32. |

| /agree this would be VERY nice i use the one for my tv series and would like a similar dynamic one for movies without having to manually add all my movies to the databse and then cleanup after if my coding skill was a lot better i would look at converting the series one to a movie one... hint hint |

| I've given up trying to use the movie database, mine is full of so many duplicates and wrong entries managing them is a nightmare. The idea of the database is good, as it allows all films in different location to be shown in one list. However in practice it doesn't work well for me. Would be nice to be able to see which entires are linked to which file and maybe have multiple files linked for the same entry in the database - for where I may have different version on the same title, otherwise I have multiple thumbnails for each film and no way of knowing which is which, would be nice to choose only to have one visible. |

Country: | I agree. This is must. At least a cleanup. I believe, many users (including me) are using the hard drives for temporary movie storage before a permanent CD/DVD store, or they are moving movies between hard drives. It's painful to have multiple database entries. |

| MP Donator ![]() | Have a look at MovingPictures plugin. It should do what you need.
