Question Major Issue

Hello

I am having serious problems with WebEPG and xmltv I am using the latest mediaportal release V0.2.3.0 RC3 I will describe my problem below.

WebEPG: I use the config file to select my channel then select website mydigiguide as radiotimes is there but when I choose a channel it says 0 days which is a shame as radio times suppplies all the freeview channels. Once I select all my channels and link them with mydigiguide I select save. I then click the WebEPG link and it starts writing the tvguide.xml file but then I end up with a 3kb file can anyone explain why this is happening? It seemed to work fine in earlier releases.

XMLTV: I then decided to gie XMLTV a go I put the files into the xmltv folder in the mediaportal xmltv folder. I used it from the command line chose all of my channel ended updated the list it wrote it all to the tvguide.xml file and I ended u with a decent size file with all the data. Media Portal refuses to import it into the TVGuide though I think as I still receive no data.

Is anyone else having this problem and is there a fix for radiotimes? I was wondering whether it could be the channel IDs that radiotimes and mydigiguide uses against the Media Portals ones???

Any help would be much apprechiated I have read over documentation in the Media Portal Manual with no luck.

First is the DTD document file in the folder WebEPG is writing to.

RT is showing 0 days, but i have set grabber to get 14 days which pretty much it does, so i end up with a file 3.4Mb.

As WebEPG is pretty much a standalone product, with 3 files associated to it, try backing up your MP folder and uninstalling and reinstalling, after first checking your firewall is not stopping WebEPG from accessing the internet.

That's about all the advice anyone can give on this.

Good Luck

I have done all of the above the reinstall the DTD is in the folder. I even disabled my firewall still no luck. I cannot see why it won't pick up the data as I can connect through to RT if I use the xmltv app from coomand line? Is it possible the channel IDs don't match up when I get the data from the xmltv app that i dowloaded? I have seen a couple of updates posted for grabbers I don't no whether this would help?? Would this help solve my problem http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/xm...527#post199527 im not sure whether it would be compatible with the standard Media Portal it appears to be aimed at the TV Engine.

Right, if you are using the built in engine, have you backed up your channels, which makes a channellist file from which WebEPG imports the tuned channel, map to the channels there again and test.

If that is fine, you may find your TVdatabase is corrupt, copy it to a safe place, delete and then redo your TV settings, see if that solves it.

Can you attach your TVGuide.xml here as well if it does not work.

Just deleting the TVGuide.xml should be sufficient, but the xmltv folder would get reinstalled anyway, whichever you chose.

PS. are you running a DVB card of some sort.

I am using a Hauppauge Nova-T pci card. I tested RT with the built in media portal epg on my laptop as I am at work and it worked fine its strange how at home its a different situation. But I do not have a tv card here on my laptop so it could still be a problem with channel ids. I will test once I get home and hopefully it will work.

Thanks for all your support.
