Default No EPG Data at all

Hi,

I never seem to get any EPG data at all in the program guide, I'm also getting a LOT of the DVBDemuxer messages at the bottom of this log. Any ideas what's up with the EPG, and if it's connected to the messages?

I'm pretty sure that Nebula Digi TV cards are not officially supported yet so you might struggle here (it's an excellent card though - I used one for a while but lack of third party support made me switch).

in any case, broadcast EPG is a still a little hit and miss for a lot of people. XMLTV is a better solution all round - assuming you have an internet connection

If you want a XMLTV solution. Try Webepg by James. http://nolanparty.com/mediaportal.so...pic.php?t=8416

Compared to the NEBULA software the EPG grabber within MP is poor.

At its best it will only grab 3 days , I believe this is because most countries only have three days available but the UK has eight.

Checking the epg log shows that the grabber sometimes gets all the info but then the database doesn't get updated (?) as this info is not available in the GUI EPG of MP.

Also the GUI EPG may not show the info but the Now next will !!

The BDA Nebula drivers are still only just out of beta and are basic missing quite a lot so are not FINAL .

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately I've managed to break the LAN socket on my MB, and there's no room for a PCI one so XMLTV isn't an option without a new PC :? .

Guess I'll have to wait and hope the Nebula support improves soon!

You can get some really neat thumb size USB to LAN convertors - if you've got spare USB

This latest CVS build has an excellent DVB-T EPG grab for eight days and all MUX when tuned to one channel .

Takes about five minutes on one channel so don't keep changing channels and then a massive hit as all channles 65 with my NEBULA card are updated.

Th CPU use by the database may be a problem on marginal machines with this amount of dat being updated.
