Problems with Webepg

Hello there,

I am a new user to the Webepg and have problems with it, but its a great plugin, there are several channels, for which I can now have EPG-Data, which weren't in the commercial TV-Clickfinder. I am using the german site tvinfo and tvtoday to grab my channels.
In some channels of the EPG of Mediaportal, the ending time is not correct and so it shows for example a tv series, which is 45 Minutes, to last 4 hours or so.

Is this because in the tvguide.xml there is no end time included? And sometimes this doesn't work correctly? Or am I doing anything wrong?
I'm using 0.2.0. RC1 with CVS from yesterday.

Hi Paloema,

WebEPG only puts the start time into the tvguide.xml file if that is all that the site provides. In the xmltv the end time is optional, and MP fixes this up when the file is imported.

If the start time is correct then the next question is whats happening to the next program. You can have a look in the WebEPG log file, it is currently logging all the program start times. Find the program that is in error and check the following programs. Post your findings here.

But I checked the tvguide.xml. I think that there is the problem. For example for 3sat, which is not working correctly, there is the following contained:

Therefore the program nano is starting on the 3rd of december and ending 9th of december. Don't know why this is happening. Do you have any idea?

Thats the log from configuration. The main WebEPG log is now in the mediaportal/log directory.

Oops..that wasn't very clever from my side

Fortunately, it is all working at the moment. Don't really know what made it work. Ich changed the EPG-Forecast-Time to only 7 days (former 14 days) and removed some not needed channels. And at last changed some channels from TVInfo to TVtoday or in other direction.

But, just in case another problems arise, what is the meaning of the info of the webepg.log? I mean, there is something with true or false, which meaning I do not understand.

Something like:

or
04.12.2005 15:23:53 WebEPG: 0:10/6 [1 True] -

Could you explain that to me, or is it already explained in a tutorial, which i did oversee?

That was me before. I just found the failure again. Now I'm trying to get it clear with examples.

My MP-EPG shows on 2005_12_4 at the channel 3sat the program Weltweit from 15.00-06.15.
Correct should be from 15.00-15.10.

In the Log, I find the following:

That should be correct, as I see. But it is not shown correctly in MP.

Sorry no, I can't anymore. With a new Update of the EPG, everything is working fine now.
Is it possible that there are sometimes problems connecting to the TVtoday/TVinfo-Server and so there are some free times in the tvguide.xml?

This should correspondend with that my tvguide.xml-File is sometimes only 57kb (for example yesterday) and sometimes (today) 315kb, with the same settings. I guess that this isn't normal?

EDIT: Just saw the same trouble again after the sync. This time on ZDF. And many other channels...Damn. Think I've got to go back to TVM2XML. Its just not working for me too often. But this is really quite better...
Now ZDF ist only showing the programm "Heute" and many other channels are starting at the 11h of December with programm-data...

Should I post the entire files? But this is very big...

EDIT #2: With the next sync the file gets over 600kb. This can't be the way it's meant to be?!?

Hi paloema,

Just post a little more of the log, or email the whole thing to me.

I need to know if there is a line about the program already being in the db ? I think this is the problem.

If so then try moving WebEPG to another directory, so it can no longer access the TVdatabase. (Download the new realese 0.2.0 to see which files and directories are need to run WebEPG outside of the main MP directory).

We can fix this I just need a little more info.

You've got a PM! I want to send my Files to you.

EDIT: I've moved WepEPG to a new directory. While getting the data, I get the to this time greatest tvguide.xml (914 kb)
But when I am in MP and want to import the EPG-Data, the following Error pops up:
"Fehler beim Importieren
Invalid XML-File. Can not find File c:\programme\..."
But the path is set correctly...

EDIT #2: When I move the tvguide.xml, which I created in a new directory, to the standard path mediaportal\xmltv everything works fine, at least at the first two tries. So probably you are right with your idea that the tvdatabase has something to do with the problem.
