Country: | I've read through a number of threads on getting the EPG to work in Australia. There are a number of different methods to get the guide to work with oztivo, yet I'm a bit confused as to wether any are acutally working. Could someone please explain the state of affairs with an Australian EPG. If possible could someone also explain how their working setups are done? |

Country: | If you wish to pay for EPG use IceTV, this will be the most fuss free method. Or you can use the WebEPG that comes with media portal and setup can be found here. http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Med...alSetup_WebEPG. Here is a copy of my working file that I use and it is found here C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG\WebEPG.xml Code:

if you use this code you will have to make an account here. http://www.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/T...kiRegistration and replace these 2 bits of code “YOUR OzTiVo USERNAME” and “YOUR OzTivo PASSWORD” with your information. |

Country: | And I can also confirm that the oztivo guide through WebEPG works perfectly. Also please note that the oztivo guide is community based so if you notice any errors then please fix them. Everything can be done through the web interface. The oztivo community (of which I am part) always needs people to clean up the guide either for the shows that are currently on or to add info to shows already in the database. So again if you notice anything wrong with it then please fix it for everyone's benefit. Have a look here for more info: http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/Guidedata/WebHome Last edited by Krumlov11; 2006-10-02 at 13:49. |

Country: | I get my SBS and ABC EPG from the providers themselves. I figure anything I can do to ease the amount of bandwidth the the OzTivo site rewuires can only help. In another thread it was mentioned that the amount of bandwidth that this one person has to supply is pretty incredible. Since the changes to the OzTivo setup I have a lot of issues with the EPG, but when it works I don't have any issues with seven. |

| Please note that for Aussies IceTV has a discount on for October if anyone is interested: http://www.icetv.com.au/subscribe.php Just some feedback on using IceTV... Paid my first sub. Setup on the IceTV site, downloaded client program and configured as per their instructions. Works very nicely, quite fast and lot's of good info for programs. Impressed. I hate paying for guide data but was sick of changing my setup every few months to work arounds peoples attempts to stop us getting free guide info. Last edited by SSSputnik; 2006-10-11 at 02:57. |

| IceTV only seems to provide free to air TV guide information (I signed up for a 30 day trial), I could be wrong. Does anyone know if IceTV does foxtel TV guide information? Thanks, Mark |

Country: | I cannot get this to work using the instructions above, here is a copy of my test WebEPG.xml for use with OzTiVo. The abc section works fine, but it's sourced from the abc site. Is this service still operating? Thanks in advance Steve <profile>

1

minnie.tuhs.org

XXXX

XXXX

7

6

abc-qld@abc.net.au

ABC

AU\4-www_abc_net_au.xml

foxsports1@foxtel.com.au

Foxsports

AU\6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml

9-qld-metro@ninemsn.com.au

Nine

AU\6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml

7-qld-metro@seven.com.au

Seven

AU\6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml

10-qld-metro@ten.com.au

Ten

AU\6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml

sbs@sbs.com.au

SBS

AU\6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml

</profile> |

Country: | Hi Steve, Have you configured your account at OzTiVo (selected channels and download format - XMLTV)? It is under "Set User Preferences" at the OzTiVo site, after you log in. |

Country: | Thanks Taipan, I can confirm I have set my preferences in OzTiVo as you suggeseted. As a test I select 2 channels in OzTiVo (nin-qld and foxsports 1). I confirmed the download format is XMLTV, as below from http://minnie.tuhs.org/tivo-bin/tvgu...e=preferences: "Your list of preferred stations is currently: FS1, Nine-Qld" After that I changed my WebEPG.xml to include just the 2 channals: <profile>

1

minnie.tuhs.org

My username

My password

7

2

foxsports1@foxtel.com.au

Foxsports

AU\6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml

9-qld-metro@ninemsn.com.au

nine-qld

AU\6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml

</profile> After that I ran "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\WebEPG.exe" The resulting file: "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\XMLTV\TVguide.xml" looks like this: <tv generator-info-name="WebEPG">
<display-name>Foxsports</display-name>

<display-name>nine-qld</display-name>
</tv> I am really confused (frustrated), I have double checked that my OzTiVo password and username are correct including the case. I don't know what else I can do from here. Any help will be appreciated. Cheers Steve |
