Default WebEPG Configuration

Hallo everybody.
This is my first post ever in this forum but I'm a passionate MP user since two years ago. My question might sound a little bit odd but I should really appreciate if somebody could help me in this particular issue.I have a question about WepEPG and Tvguide.xml. Is it possible to use this excellent program together with bladrunnerpro? The subject might be a little of topic but I am curios if it maybe should work to use WebEPG together with MCE. My question is if it’s possible to change output path and the name for the TVguide listings from :“C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv\TVgudie.xml (default) to: “C:\Windows\ehome\Bladerunnerpro\GuideData\xm ltv.x ml”? I’ve just red on some other forum that there should be a webepg.ini files to configure but I couldn’t find it. Please give me some advice because I will try to use WebEPG with both my MediaPortal configuration and my MCE configuration.
Thanks in advance
Öbus.

Hi Öbus,

If you read the sticky thread just under this one (Command Line Options -> http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/co...ns-t25103.html) you will find a way to move the TVguide.xml file to a different directory. I'm sorry to say that at the moment there is no way to change the file name.

Someone can may be able provide you with a script to rename the file once WebEPG is finished.

When you run WebEPG.exe you provide a command line option /xmltv=

webepg.exe /xmltv=C:\Windows\ehome\Bladerunnerpro\GuideData

Webepg should then use this directory for the output file "TVguide.xml". However, as I already said the filename will remain the same. May be some one else has a script to move/rename the tvguide.xml after webepg.exe has finished.

James.
Back again with a new odd question. I managed to do as you advised me and finally used TVxb to merge my Tvguide.xml in to BladerunnerPro. Everything is working fine and Bladerunner is converting all the data to a Guide.bin file which after that is imported by MCE. The problem is that only programs with a start and stop times programmed is showing up in MCE. For ex ESPN works perfect and Animal Planet dosen’t work at all. The information is downloaded from the same EPG provider (www_dagenstv_com). The information in the xmltv file provided after merging by TVxb is identical with the information in the original TvGuide.xml downloaded by WebEPG in MediaPortal.

<programme start="20080216090500" stop="20080216100500" channel="ESPN Classic-espnclassic.co.uk">
<title>European Football: Celtic v Porto, 2003</title>
<desc>Highlights from the thrilling UEFA Cup final from 2003 when Jose Mourinho's Porto overcame a stubborn Celtic side.</desc>
<category>No Genre</category>

Works fine. Channelname and all info is imported to MCE

programme start="20080215100000" channel="Animal Planet-animalplanet.com">
<title>Galna djur</title>
<desc>Vi träffar en surfande, bergsklättrande jack russell och en dobermann som tar han om kaninungar som om de vore hans egna.</desc>
</programme>

Dosn't work. No Channel info at all.

I’m not 100% sure that this is the real problem but it looks like that all channels without start and stop time never shows up in MCE as a program. I know this is not really a subject in this forum but it should be really good to use the same grabber in both my configurations.

Happy for advice
öbus
