webEPG 0.2.0 error

Hi there,

Since 2 day i am using mediaportal.
I first used xmltv for the tv guide.

Now i want to use webEPG, because it can grab 7 days in stead of 3 with xmltv.
The problem is that webEPG won't run correctly when i start it. after a few sec. it gives a failure.

I used te manual Setup_Webepg and the manual on the webepg site. But i won't work for me. I made a backup from all my channels, and imported these into the webepg-conf.exe. After i done that i start webepg.exe.

Can someone help me?

hello James,

No it is the newest version of webEPG (downloaded it from this site). I extracted the zip file in the xmltv and the webEPG dir. But every time i run it it stops after a few seconds.

I also tried the tutorial on the site of webEPG. Only the new structure has more directories. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

Extract it in the wrong dir?

Maybe you have some tips?

Ok that is old .. from the date Feb 2006, its 1 year old.

WebEPG has been included with MP for a long time now. It has now been removed from the download section to avoide future confusion.

So the newest version of WebEPG can only be found in an SVN, but the last major release and all stable builds have versions. There have been some bugs in a few version, but I cannot say which builds.

However, I generally do much more testing before a major build, so that is always a good starting point.

You can download the SVN source and compile it

If you check the wiki, it lists which files are required by WebEPG. These files can be taken from the latest SVN and put into a new directory where you will be able to run WebEPG (However, only in standalone mode ie webepg.exe).

thx, i did so and it works fine.
I didn't want to install SVN (again) because TV picture is more stable with even stable MP version
