Question whole PC crashes with WebEPG.exe

Hi there,
I'm a newbie with MP and I try to install and configure a running MP-system on my PC. I already installed the newest MP SVN (9.1.2007) and I don't get a running WebEPG. I configured MP and all channels and TV programs, all runs fine. I start the WebEPG-conf.exe and configured all avaliable channels, but if I start WebEPG.exe the PC freeze after 10 seconds. Nowhere I can find a reason. There are no critical or warning messages in the log folder of MP and no critical or warning message in the Windows Event Viewer.
I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR150 and WindowsXP Prof.
Could anybody help me?
Where could I find some logs else, except the MP log-folder, to analyze my problem?
Oh, It's no matter if MP runs by executing WebEPG.exe or not while the PC is freezing.

Regards,
Caineone.

Hi and Welcome

Always recommend no svn installed, without first making sure a stable version works ok for you.

svn's could be your problem, but without log's cannot help.

Hi PD,

I tried before with the normal stable version. But in an other thread was suggested to install the newest SVN.
I could send you a log, if you say me what log you want?!
Thanks for your reply.

Regards, caineone.

I'm currently not at home, but I upload the files as soon as possible.
Before the PC is hanging the CPU usage rising up to 100%.
Then you have to hard reset the PC because nothing happens.
One time I wait for half an hour, but the pc is still "freezed".

Hi

Just a thought, in case you have a corrupted database, can you delete the following.

From within MP setupTV\program guide and hit the button remove all programs from database.

Go to the webepg folder at Default c\programs\teammediaportal\mediaportal\webepg and remove the following files (backup if you like to save settings if nothing wrong with them), webepg.xml, webepg.xml bak and webepg bak.

Now in the XMLTV folder delete the tvguide.xml file.

Now run webepg to see if it locks up. if it's ok then it was the database if not and it still causes problem, come back and let us know.

Never heard or seen such happening before.

add the webepg.log to your list of things to look at and upload.

I have had very little time, but taking a quick look at the WebEPG.log. I can say it is not the latest version, because it is missing a few lines that I have added in the last month.

It could be that you have a corrupt install with dlls from different builds/releases?

I'm currently not at home again. [Damn nightshift :-( ]
I don't know exactly the version but I think it's the SVN from 6. Jan. 2007.
But I can install the newest. Or should I de-install all other stuff before?
What could I do in your opinion to let the programm running?
Thanks for your help.

Regards,
caineone
