Xface Skin Version 1.6 ready for download 09.06.2008

Just a couple of minor cosmetic things with XFace skin (latest 1.5) and the My TV Series plugin (latest 2.0):

1. The background for this skin clashes with the information being displayed in the bottom left corner by the plugin in the main screen, as per "xface tvseries main screen.jpg"

2. The "navigation" information starts to become too big the deeper you navigate, and starts to overwrite other areas of the screen (ie the page buttons, as per "xface tvseries season screen.jpg"

3. When the top bar displays, it adds icons to the bottom right of the screen which clash with the logos the TV Series plugin displays, as per "xface tvseries season screen with top bar.jpg"

Does anybody have a tvseries.xml for xface that cleans these up?

when I am in this screen, when scrolling multiple items using my IRTrans remote, I have noticed that the system essentially waits for the animation of the first step to complete before allowing a second scroll button press to be registered.

Maybe this isn't the place to bring this up, but I think a method of queuing and accelerating input sequences for when multiple are pressed would make these sorts of screens much more user friendly. If I hit my down arrow twice in extremely quick succession, I think it would be reasonable to expect the animation to quickly jump two menu items down instead of one down, bounce, then doing or not doing the second animation at all.

I just did some changes on my views within MP today. Normaly i was using the Shared Files view but i wanted categories so i changed to Genre view today.

Normally when i was watching my movie folder and i pressed info for the details page (where you can open up IMDB info) and i pressed the back button, i came back in the list of movies.
When using Genre view (and i made some genres like: Disney, HDDVD, DVD, etc) and pressing the back button, puts be 2 pages back into the list with genres instead of the list with movies.

I hope it's a little understandable and curious if this is just odd (or bet settings my side) or a bug in the script :$

just a small issue...

no problem if using mouse, with remote though, in MyMusic I cannot proceed below the top three menu items.

Is there a way to get only the number of TV listings in Guide if they are less than the nujmber of slots (with no scroll)? I have one group of only 5 channels, and at MY age, repeating channels are confusing. (forgive me if I don't understand the limits of XML)

How many.xml files have been updated on this thread? Do I have to sift through 106 pages to find them all?

Could someone plz post either all updated file links on one post or upload v1.6 of xface release.

FMI - What were the changes for teh settings_tv.xml? Is it better? Ive looked in settings but can't see any changes.

Sorry, one more qn: Can you use any search features in music or videos? Ive seen a few skins around (none as nice as Xface) but more practical in this sense. I know I can use the letters on my remote to navigate through the titles, but I have so many videos I still skip past them.
Can we search? If so, how so?

Why do you have to sift through 106 pages?
Simply look at the last few post since 1.5 was released.
I'm sure when enough changes have accumulated Harley will release a new version.

Im sorry, I didn't realise it was only the last few posts considering the thread is titled "Xface Skin Version 1.5 ready for download". There is 106 pages in this thread and assumed the posts went all the way back. Thats great, thankyou for the updates, excellent help!

I don't know why this png still isn't present in Xface releaes but you need to copy the attached png into your "Xface/Media" Folder in order to fix your issue #1. I cannot help with the other two.
