Default What happens when schedule change?

Maybe someone knows the answer to this:

Lets say I download my xmltv and a program A is scheduled for 10:00 to 12:00 on next Sunday. Then, 2 days later, but before the scheduled program, I download a new xmltv file and program A is now replaced with program B 10:00 to 11:00 and program C 11:00 to 12:00. Should the import function delete program A and load program B and program C?

The rason I ask if it SHOULD happen, is because it didn't. I had to go and delete all programs from the sql database (tv3) and reload the xmltv to get the new schedule.
