I realized that only the cable from the set top box was looped through the Stab motor into the dual LNB i have on there. The cable from the pc was going straight into the LNB and wasn't looped through the motor :oops::sorry: .

I am a new comer from Hong Kong for MP :). Just setup the MP a few days ago. Trying to scan HK channels without any problems but the DVB-EGP getting strange characters. I think we are using BIG5 but not GB code. Anyone can tell me where to change the character encode in the source code?

I only use the second screen for watching filems and slide shows.

Well, for TVE3 to not recognise that the recording drive is not available and to add a recording to the database so that it looks to the user as if it has recorded has to be classed as a bug.
Presumably it will be easy to model this situation by setting up the recording path to a USB drive, and then switching the drive off to watch...
